Example: Summarizing	In summarizing an article, remove irrelevant information, make substitutions, and keep some information.	Word processor with tracking turned on.	Use with primary source documents to match themes across documents.
Summarizing	Students need to find the most important information that has to do with the article/paragraph being read.	www.awesome-highlighter.com	Compare what they highlighted and what I highlighted		I do summarizing in my study/library skills.
Identifying Similarities and Differences	Students compare/contrast more than one item.	Venn diagrams on Word or Smart board			I do a similar lesson in study/library skills.

This meets NETS Standard 4 (Problem Solving, Decision Making & Critical Thinking) since students work on higher order thinking skills.
